Hilltops Tempranillo 2018
The 2018 Tempranillo is packed with dense dark berry fruit followed through with a savory edge.
Fine tannis and a rich mouth feel, make this a versatile and food friendly wine.
Drinking beautifully now but will continue to evolve over next 3-5 years.
The fruit was sourced from Freeman Vineyards in Hilltops, NSW. Brian Freeman was a wine science lecture at CSU
before he left to establish his vineyard and wine label.
Matured in new and old French Hogshead and puncheons oak barrels for 10 months. No fining.
Serve at 15-17°C
A wine that can stand on it's own but would also be ideal with roasted vegetables,
cured or roasted meats, spicy pizza and tomato based sauces. Hard cheese especially Manchego.
